Adv. Aroon Parsad practises before the Sindh High Court in criminal, civil, family and constitutional matters — and through Qanoon Ki Baat, he teaches the law in plain Urdu to students, young lawyers and citizens across Pakistan.

Aroon Parsad was enrolled as an advocate on 13 August 2010 and today practises as an Advocate of the High Court of Sindh. From his chamber at Paradise Chamber, Saddar, he conducts a busy practice in criminal, civil, family and constitutional matters, appearing regularly before the Sindh High Court and the courts at City Court, Karachi.
His second vocation is teaching. Qanoon Ki Baat, the legal awareness programme he founded, has been running on YouTube since March 2012 — 266 videos on court procedure, cross examination, bail, family law, cyber crime and the everyday problems of students and young lawyers, explained the way he would explain them across his own desk. The Express Tribune has covered his work for student rights and against harassment; he writes and speaks on education, and is described on his own profiles as a social activist and legal advisor.
The Bar has trusted him with office. He was elected Treasurer of the Karachi Bar Association for 2017, sits on the Education Committee of the Sindh Bar Council, chairs the Young Lawyers Forum Pakistan, serves as Chief Patron of Qanoonkibaat, and is President of The Shelter, an NGO. Every year he gives a month of that experience back, mentoring law students in the Qanoonkibaat Internship Program at City Court.

The Qanoonkibaat Internship Program is a one-month, court-based internship for law students and fresh graduates, held at City Court, Karachi (Jinnah Auditorium) with the Young Lawyers Forum Pakistan. It is deliberately practical: interns learn by drafting real documents and watching real courts work.
The program runs in batches through the year. Places are limited and allotted on application. Students from all law colleges in Karachi are welcome to apply; bring your enrollment proof when you visit the chamber.
